Chapel Valley Attends Great Arboretum Cookout

On June 17th, 5 members from Chapel Valley had the pleasure of mingling and dining, at the Great Arboretum cookout. The event is held annually each year in June, when the Arboretum grounds are in full bloom. Attending the cookout is a great way for our team to stay involved with people who share the common interest of supporting the gardens and programs at the Arboretum. Each year a different state is honored, and this year, they proudly presented Missouri.

If you are not familiar with the U.S. National Arboretum, it is administrated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s, Agricultural Research Service; to provide the public need for scientific research, education, and gardens that conserve and showcase plants to enhance the environment. The Arboretum is very valuable, because it plays an important role of preservation.  Our founder, J. Landon Reeve, is very passionate about the Arboretum, and contributes by being an officer on the board of directors.
