As COVID-19 is having a profound impact on our lives and our businesses, and while our situation at Chapel Valley is not unique, I wanted to share what we are doing to protect our teams and our customers while we continue operations.
Safety has always been a core value at Chapel Valley and an ingrained part of our family’s culture. While COVID-19 presents unique challenges for all of us, we have teams committed to putting safety first. First and foremost, we continue to monitor and adhere to guidelines being advised by the CDC and state governments. In response to these recommendations, we have implemented several procedures focusing on monitoring employee health, increased sanitation practices, and training on social distancing. We are encouraging all team members to stay home if they are not feeling well and have made it clear their safety comes first. While you may not actively see all of these changes directly, I can assure you they are being implemented and followed behind the scenes.
While we are fortunate to typically work in outdoor environments, thereby allowing us to continue work unabated, a large part of our work with you is based on our interactions and communication. For the time being, we have asked our teams that all communication with you be done over the phone, electronically, or via virtual conferencing. We have asked our teams not to enter any workspaces or attend any indoor meetings. Our teams will continue to do site inspections and are always available to you. Should our work require us to enter or pass through any indoor spaces we will communicate with you on a case by case basis to ensure our work is not putting anyone at additional risk.
We understand that these are unconventional times and are requiring all of us to adapt to a fluid situation. We appreciate the work you have entrusted us to perform, and while we miss seeing you, please know that you can still expect our work to be done to the level of quality you have come to expect from Chapel Valley.
