Josh Richman
COO, Maintenance
Josh Richman joined Chapel Valley in 2002 and brings more than 25 years of horticulture, turfgrass, irrigation, and landscape maintenance experience to his leadership role. Over the course of his career, he has held key operational, estimating, design, and service positions before advancing into regional leadership. Most recently, Josh led Chapel Valley’s Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Norfolk markets, where he focused on client service, team development, operational planning, and sustained branch growth.
Josh was promoted to Chief Operations Officer of Maintenance in 2025. In this role, he oversees all maintenance operations and is responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing the client experience, and developing high-performing teams across Chapel Valley’s maintenance footprint. His deep industry expertise and long-standing commitment to the company continue to strengthen performance and support long-term growth.
Josh graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. He holds multiple professional certifications, including a Virginia Certified Fertilizer License, Virginia Pesticide License, OSHA-10, and Accredited Snow Contractors Association Level 300. Originally from the Shenandoah Valley, Josh has lived in Richmond since 2005, where he resides with his wife and three children. He remains active in his community and enjoys supporting his family’s many activities.
