Position Summary
Chapel Valley Landscape Company is seeking a motivated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, tractors, trailers, and specialized landscaping machinery. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform diagnostic and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
Respond to road calls and perform field repairs when necessary.
Assist with parts ordering, inventory control, and shop organization.
Promote and follow safety standards—ensuring all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly secured and maintained.
Support company and department goals with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
Experience and Education
2+ years mechanic experience but all skill levels will be considered (experience in agriculture, landscape or construction industry is a plus)
High School Diploma or GED (Vo-Tech or 2-year technical degree is a plus).
Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 75 lbs. during an 8–10 hour shift.
Work Ethic: Willingness to work overtime or off-hours during snow/ice events or emergencies.
